Hello
I’m Sophie, and I'm so glad that you are here.

After 15 years as a registered nurse, working between the Intensive Care and Emergency Departments, and as mother of four navigating the inevitable ups and downs of childhood illnesses, my perspective on health evolved considerably and the pull towards alternative medicine was undeniable.
MY STORY,
Over the years, particularly as I became a mother, I found myself questioning the idea that there was only one way to approach health. I had always been more natural leaning, and "crunchy" with my lifestyle and lived a relatively low-tox life - so why was I outsourcing our most valuable resource? I knew there had to be more than the feeling of not being heard in a doctors office, rushed and dismissed with a script for suppressive medicines with no question about lifestyle or diet. So, I went searching for more.
I will say, I've seen firsthand just how incredible modern medicine can be, when we truly need it. But I've also seen the other side from a personal and professional level - a model of healthcare that leaves people feeling disempowered in their choices, unable to participate in their own health decisions, feeling fearful and neglected in a broken hospital system, people disconnected from their bodies and their own innate ability to heal. I'd had enough. I went to university to become a nurse because I genuinely care about people feeling and living their best lives. We were taught about the importance of preventative health and whole person approaches, yet I saw none of this in the real world.

So down every rabbit hole I went.

From integrative medicine, supplements, herbs, reiki, sound healing, cleanses, colonics, the list goes on - each had its place but nothing really stood out - until I discovered Homeopathy. And honestly, my mind was blown from the get go - it really is the ultimate medicine.

The first remedy I ever took was Thuja. I'd had an ongoing sinus infection for over 3 months. The pain was close to unbearable, daily frontal headaches, thick heavy congestion and just an overall feeling of fatigue. I'd just finished a short online course with Hilery Dorrian from CHE in the UK, and she spoke about Thuja and sinus complaints - everything she said described my symptoms down to tee. I had my first homeopathic first aid kit from Mel Kupsch arriving the next day and when I took the dose of Thuja I could not believe the results! From just a few tiny drops under my tongue, within the hour I could feel my headache easing, by the end of the day the headache was gone and my congestion had halved. I took another dose the following day and within the next week my sinus infection had completely resolved. I was gobsmacked. And from there, my obsession with homeopathy began.

After two years of independent study and multiple short courses, I started having people ask me for consults. I began with non-complex cases, with friends and family, and feeling my confidence grow with every case, I moved from acute recommendations to deeper prescriptions, and my fascination and love for homeopathy only grew stronger.
The time had come to deepen my knowledge and I am currently enrolled with RMDY Academy class of 2028, completing my Advanced Practitioner of Homeopathy studies, truly the best decision I have ever made.

What I love most about homeopathy is that it doesn’t look at a person as a collection of separate symptoms. We’re not just treating the eczema, the headaches, the digestive issues or the recurring cough. We’re looking at the whole person, their physical symptoms, emotional patterns, tendencies, history and the unique way their body responds to illness and how they experience the sensations of life. No other medicine can go as deeply into these layers as homeopathy can.

My approach to homeopathy is grounded in individualised care. There isn’t a one-size-fits-all remedy, because there isn’t a one-size-fits-all person.

I’m particularly interested in the deeper side of homeopathy, constitutional prescribing, chronic cases and miasmatic work, and the way these approaches can uncover patterns that have been present for years.

At the same time, I love the practical side of homeopathy too. Those everyday acute situations where you want to know what you can do at home and how to support your family through them. This is why I started making my own first aid kits, initially they were for friends and family, then with growing interest I went all in and wrote a home prescribing booklet, had gorgeous cases custom made and labels professionally printed - its been a labour of love but getting homeopathy into peoples homes is such a win in my eyes.

My goal is to make homeopathy feel less complicated and more accessible, while still respecting the incredible depth of this system of medicine.

Whether you’re looking for support with something that has suddenly popped up, or you’ve been dealing with the same health patterns for years and feel ready to look deeper, I’d love to help you explore what homeopathy may have to offer.
